ALUMITECH best boat

Silent Prop

Hey everyone: I just picked up my new hull from ALUMITECH and it is great. The guys there worked on it way beyond normal closing time in order to save me a trip back to get it and They knew I had a job to use it on this next week so they went the extra mile. The hull is a 14' AGI-A which is more for sliding than turning. It handles great and looks great. It was the best priced hull I found and was the best built as far as I could tell from the different comments on the i-net no one had any thing bad to say about them at all. As far as I am concerned There were not enough good things said about them. Their hull price includes polymer installed and they will tweak the design to suit your needs if you let them know what you want to do with it. They hit my needs right on the head and the quality looks great. Also included in the price is non-slip on the deck and splatter in the hull.

It runs dry very well and scootin to the top of the dike at okeechobee is almost too easy. It turns very quick and is very stable. The cross winds while going 60mph get a bit tricky but a little throttle and rudder and it comes right back on track.

The whirlwind prop they got me is the stump puller version and it seems to get me out of the hole quicker and accelerates good even when up and running for steering response. I had to let off of it while climbing the dike starting at the bottom from a dead stop I was going to fast to turn on the ridge at the top. It works for me is all I can say.

ALUMITECH gets my vote for best boat hands down :) :D

Glad your new rig is working so well. What eng. and reduction unit are you running?

Thanks,
Pondscum

They merged with Airgator more than a decade ago. Those airgator slider hull (Style C - I believe) were great.

Glad you like what you got. Let us know how things are going when you hit around 100 hours. That gives time and running stress make anything bad typically show up. Hope it still gets the A+.

HI Pondscum: I have a 383 stoker, 436hp 475tq built by WHEELER MOTORSPORTS in jacksonville fl. those are dyno numbers I watched them do it then loaded it in my truck. The gear drive is a 2:09 stinger, the prop is a whirlwind stump puller 80 set at 17 on the scale I turn it 5150 rpm and my motor hits peak hp at 5200 rpm so its right there. . The meatal works are stainless steel and were built by FLORAL CITY AIRBOATS and repaired by ALUMITECH. I tore them up when the motor mounts failed and the engine came forward and the prop cut the cage up. I changed props then also. I don't run nitrous, just a 750 AED/HOLLEY double pumper. stainless headers and mufflers. The boat seats four has a cooler rack under the seats a 40 gallon tank, 1/4" polymer, two batteries. It is not a light boat by any means. But I am still extemely satisfied and now have quite a few hours on it under all kinds of conditions and terrain. I didn't get the usual high sided hull that you mostly see, there was a mis-communication there but in the end I am glad it happened that way. I lost a cylinder sat. night with three big guys on the boat and ended up in a floating mat thrown up by the hurricanes at okeechobee, and the hull rocked and rolled just like you want it to and it came out of it just fine. I had broke a rocker arm on the intake valve thats the second one in two years on that motor. all in all in case you can't tell I am one happy puppy with hull and motor.

Hi Pat: Well I don't have a hundred yet but am well on my way. I run every friday & sat night froggin and usually ride alot on sat afternoon waiting till my lady gets off work and gets to the lake. we fish and ride on sundays. I use it for work also on occasion usually hauling survey equipment and the occasional attorney around. I really try to stay out of the bigger trees and myrtle bushes but other than that i'll give it a try. When runnin dry across the pastures those darn bull holes are rough. after a mile or two across the dry grass the polymer gets hot and gotta let it cool off, doesnt actually come to a stop but you can feel the drag when it gets sticky. I like to find a wetspot to set it in, cools faster that way. I am hard on a boat but I try to take care of it so it will take care of me. I dont care to go fast but I gotta go I hate gettin stuck very embarrassing. I broke my second rocker arm this weekend and they are all gettin replaced now. I had my brother and a fellow from guatemala on there and had to cut the ride down to only 4 hours sat. night. I will keep ya'll posted but so far ALUMITECH takes a lickin and keeps on tickin no leaks no cracks no errors.
