Alumitech hull?

I am thinking of coming to florida and picking up a new boat, but was wondering if an alumitech is a good boat? I am going to be running on ice and water, I don't neew to run dry. Are they a good boat for the ice, or would I be better going to a diamond back or panther? If anybody has an 18x8 hull for sale let me know I might be interested in it. Thanks for any info

Almost all of the major names in Aluminum Airboats build great boats now days. Not a lot to argue with amongst any of them.

My personal preference is the Robicheaux from Marks Airboats but all are really fine boats now days. Failing that, for a severe duty boat, have you talked with Faron at American Airboats yet?

Like stated above they're all good boats. It's important to consider matching boat with intended use and proximity of dealers/manufacturer if you intend on them to do any warranty or after purchase work on the boat.

if your making the trip might try a visit with with the builders get to know em dont forget hammit not sure about the spelling but also a good boat

If your going to run a lot of ice, you will want an Ice boat.
I see all kinds of hulls up here that are beat up pretty bad from the ice.
I have an 8X15' ALUMITECH and am very happy with it.
3/6" sides with 3/8" poly on the sides also.
11 T-bars and center brace.
I run the ice daily and no dings....................Bob

Band Hull style has a lot to do with the way it handles in the ice and snow... About 5 years ago I designed a hull to handle the ice / snow and choppy waters we have to deal with here in Michigan. The standard FL. hull design can get stuck in the ice --- It dose not turn very well when breaking ice and trying to maneuver. plus they will beat you to death when in choppy water . The hull I designed corrected all of these problems... Check out my web = http://www.searchandrescueairboats.com
What ever you do be sure to have 11 ribs in the bottom -- 3/8" poly on the bottom and 1/4" poly up the sides. We too have redesigned the sides to be stronger to help reduce the crushing inward they receive from the ice.. Each boat at Alumitech is custom built for the customer so they are sure it will do what you expect it to do. They will need 4 to 6 weeks to build your hull after the order is confirmed.

Check out this picture.
This is an Alumitech hull that I use in Minnesota.
Works very well.
This style helps you get out of the groove that you have plowed in the ice.
With a straight sided boat, you have trouble steering out of it. (railroading)
