My ammunition wholesaler has advised to expect an across the board price increase effective immediately on January 1st. They anticipate an increase of about $20 on a case (1,000 rounds) of budget target grade 9mm as an example. That equates to an approximate 7.5% price increase.
Of greater concern is the fact that approximately 40% of ammunition manufactured for U.S. markets will be falling under control of two foreign corporations. Both located in the Czech-Republic, which I find extremely odd if not suspicious.
In 12/18/2023 CZ-Colt purchased Sellier & Bellot and CSG (Czechoslovak Group) is currently under contract to purchase ALL HOLDINGS of the U.S. based Vista Group. Vista owns and manufactures Federal, CCI, Speer and Black Cloud. Both these corporations are foreign entities located in the Czech-Republic.
