We just had our Dove Opener & it was some fast shootin'!!!

We limited on Mourning & White Wing Doves Sat, Sun & Mon... had a great cookout with an old pardnuh, who also played "host. It was an awesome time with the 4 B's (Birds, BBQ, Beer & BS) :lol:

Plus it really helps to get yer "SHOOTIN' EYE" tuned up for Duck Season... 'em GREENHEADS are gonna look like C-5 SUPER GALAXIES commin' into the dekes. :twisted:

I love dove shooting, just can't hook up on a good field! Here in my part of Alabama there's not many good places to go. I just bought a new 20 ga o-u and it's awsome on clays, I would really like to ruffle some feathers with it on the 17 th, which is our opener I think.

I used to live for dove season. since moving to fl. haven,t been able to find anyone with same vices. man you mention duck huntin and dove huntin and boy the excitement starts. if anyone wants to hookup up for either one let me know or if i can get an invite sure would appreciate the smell of burning powder

I have a hard time paying over a hundred bucks to hunt at a state dove hunt.
Back home its a blast. like

great hunt here too, still have about 40 ac of milo to get in before Duck season, but have put in new pits and blinds. I am ready for the birds, but Oct 1 and bow season has really what I wait for.

Quack we were in Cordele Ga. last Sat. for a Dove shoot 120 plus shooters at last count 1100 birds total it was non stop shooting all afternoon and my son and I had a great time.

well, we have hunted the last two afternoons and ended up fishing until dark. That was because it only took 30 mins one day and an hour the next to limit. They still are good here.

bandit it is a invite hunt a railroad contractor has been doing it for 10 years but the framer opens his field up to who ever wants to come back I will get the information and phone number.

We've got a (70) seventy arce field plant in N. IRC for the last (10) ten years & what a producer!!!

This year instead of planting the usual dove provo & millet, we threw down the bagged bird seed from TSC.

Man, talk about doves & we haven't even cut it yet.

Several years back we put up (100) one-hundred dove nest made out of screen throughout the ranch & the birds started using them almost immediately.

The canes knocked'em back over the last several years but with the amount of birds we're seeing this year, the season should be a whopper.

So far, this year, I've been on 5 dove hunts & have killed 60 birds... there's a 12 bird limit where I'm at

Our field is covered in Croaten aka Dove Weed, plus there's a small herd of goats that are keepin' everything else ate down... it makes it easy to find your birds in ankle deep weeds

As stated earlier, I shot an 870 for nearly 30 years & have recently broke out an SBE II. Dove season has done 2 things for me... I ain't pumpin' the SBE II anymore & the ol' shootin' eye is dialed in. I tell ya the GREENHEADS are gonna look like C-5 Super Galaxies commin' in :twisted:
