On Tuesday, March 13, Officer Brooks received a complaint concerning a partially submerged airboat in the Kissimmee River near the S-65-D Lock. The engine had been cut from the engine stand and removed. The vessel had not been reported stolen and the registered owner could not be contacted. The vessel was impounded and continuing efforts are being made to contact the vessel owner. Okeechobee Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
