Anyone doctor thier gas?

I was just thinking a buddy of mine used to add toluene and some avgas to his mix for his '67 coronet 440 6 pack drag car. The need for more speed eventually led to Alcohol Use (the car too) but found this link and was just wondering? http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/oc ... ained.html

I have adde a bit of alcohol to try to dry out the fuel system at times but never added anything for performance. Fuel additives are a special knowledge and use item to me.

Avgas isn't really the best base for power. Do a search in this forum to find out more.

I have heard toluene works, but never tried it. I do know that brake cleaner with lots of toluene in it burns hot and for a long time.
