I'm heading to central Georgia (Twiggs & Wilkinson County) next weekend 9-21 for an archery hunt. Anybody doing any good in that part of the state?? Are the deer movin, or is it too hot??

I hunt in millian georgia and i was up 2 weeks ago. The deer I seen were moving in the middle of the day. I dont think they are in rut yet. I counted over 40 deer over the weekend and scouted 5 big bucks. One that is going on my wall this year! The weather was nice at about 75 in the day and 63 at night. good luck and safe hunting

Thanks for the info. I'm lookin forward to just gettin out of the house and in the woods. I'm on a new lease, and a different part of the state this year, so I don't know what to expect. I think there will be a somewhat early rut this year. I say this because it seems to be getting darker earlier, and everything I have read says when the days get shorter the estrous starts flowing......... what do yall think?? and it sounds like the weather is going to cooperate too.

Just got back from Lee County.Weather started great for opening morning with a low of 63.By Tues humidity kicked in and slowed things down. But was able to see alot of deer and looking forward to slinging an arrow or two next weekend.Good luck guys.
