AUTO OIL IN A/C ENGINE??? GONE!!!!!

Hope I didn't do something wrong asking the auto oil in av engine question. Have been away for a week or so. What I got to read was good. Hope I didn't miss anything else. Anyway, I opted for Castrol 20/50 and ran it about 2 hours this past wkend. It seemed not to use any at all but I really need to run it longer to check consumption. Also I cut my spring and got my pressure down to 30 idle and 65 WOT. Before it was running 65 to 70 at idle and 100+ at WOT. If something doesn't work out I'll just have to rebuild I guess but at $10 for 5 quarts I can see me changing oil every couple of months instead of yearly. My next move on the 180 is to pull a cylinder and check to see if it has standard pistons or the low compression ones. That may be my problem wsith this thing. I did a crude check on the cam and all seemed to have about .450" lift at the valve.
