Average carbureted O540

72x44 stick If you mean a wood prop. Warp drive 72" 5 0r 6 blade, WW 72" signature, sensenich 72" 2 blade Q or 3 blade H series

ive swung 3 different props on mine but all were sensenich, one was 3 blade H one was 2 blade Q and one was/is now 3 blade Q all 72inches... the 3 blade Q wins pretty much by far, that boat is real hard to get stuck and is pretty fast on water too, i love that prop and would take it over the other 2 any day, but i am also partial to sensenich, havent tried powershift or WW n i dont really care for warp drives...... IMO IMO

I run a 72inch 6 blade warp, great snap, havent tried any others, but want to, would like something quieter

I have the same motor, I tried a ww 72, shook my whole boat and I was dead on with a digital protractor, also tried a 2 blade Q, I switched back to my 6 blade warp, no vibration with the warp, I can idle at 450 if I wanted. I found the 2 blades to be just as loud or louder but at a lower pitch.

Mine has a 3 blade Sen. (narrow--=not theQ). I run with friends in identical boats that have warp drive set ups. I can't tell any difference in performance. I can get more specific details if you need them.

What are you up to now WT???

oops---just re read your post---we're runnin' angle valves----same boats and engines though

Great info thanks guy's, what RPM's do you turn the Warp Drive at and what RPM do you turn the 3blade Q blade at?

6 blade, 8 degrees, 2950 rpm static, 3000+ on the water

same engine was turning 72x46 stick 2900

Dave,

Paul Dixon can give you all the info in one phone call. He uses both set ups on his boats.

I am putting a new 3-blad Q series on my new boat. The motor is 0540 straight valve with the 9:1 pistons.

almost 11 degrees, about 2950 on the water, need to get blades redone, might make a difference in the pitch

lgower,

Wow!..... 11 deg 2950, with an average carburated O540......

I wouldn't touch a thing if I had one that would do that.....

I know a few people down here that would be interested in buying that motor!

Mood, check your flange on your crank might be bent slightly. I went through the same problem.
