I don't know if any of you had a chance to watch the ESPN coverage of this event on Saturday. They mentioned one of the anglers was having problems with airboaters on Lake Kissimmeee. Just thought I would bring it up, not very good publicity.
 
He was probably lookin for an easy excuse for why he didn't catch any fish ..... Whinners will grab at anything.

I was on Lake Kissimmee on Saturday and didn't see much as far as anglers go. I talked to a few other people on airboats and did hear of some comments supposedly made on TV. Something about the airboats were disturbing the fish and it took about an hour for the fish to start biting again after being disturbed. Doesn't make much sense to me. I would think an outboard motor or trolling motor would be more disruptive than an airboat.
 
I wish they would do something about the noise they make, I live here on Toho by the ramp and they always wake me up on the weekends with their high dolloar race boats/bass boats.
 
I was watching it and the fisherman was in a nerrow cut, sight fishing the bass on beds. The airboat came through the cut with a pretty good wake that washed the fish off the beds. When the guy got through the cut he turned around pretty hard sat there a min and got back on pad and went back throuogh the cut washing the banks/ shallows again. It had nothing to do with the sound and everything to do with the speed and wake. This is not the first time that it has happened in the Classic. The Classic being held in New Orleans had the same problem and the television had the same coverage and the same comments about the "LOCALS". It has nothing to do with the noise and everything to do with creating a wake that does not have to be created.
 
With all the complaints about airboats, just wait and watch when the PETA people figure out how much "noise" is created under water by outboard motors and how far it travels. Just ask any scuba diver how far he can hear a boat. The PETA people might just begin to LIKE us for more than being "manatee friendly".
 
Under the right conditions, sound can carry an enormous distance under water.
The U.S. Navy has a Listening Station in Alaska that regularly can hear the sound of whales off the coast of South America. Granted, their equipment is incredibly sophisticated, but they can do it.

It might not be a bad idea if we all had a heads up on something like the Bassmasters. At least we could be on the look out to avoid traveling too close to the anglers during these tournaments. The last thing we need is negative comments on national TV. I didn't know anything about the tournament until I was on the lake.
 
Yea but can they hear the cries of the fish being tortured by us anglers. I’m sorry had to say that especially after watching the best comedy of the year Grizzly Man I’m still laughing my ass off over that jack ass. Like they said in the movie a bears diet consists of 2 liberals and a Dem.
 
I watched that too. He might not be drinking out of a mass produced bottle anymore but he sure had something. The eskimos had to teach him something about making yourself look like a complete JACK. Oh, how I love these bears and this fox and this, on, and on and on.
 
I like the helicopter pilot who said he was retarded and one of the bears wanted to see what he tasted like. I guess psychotic animal rights activists don't taste too bad because they said the bear ate them booth and they needed trash bags to hold the remains they found in the bears stomach. Great comedy
 
what did he say, 50 something bags to carry all of the human remains out? I missed a short part of the end, had to get another beer, what was said about the retarded girl whos family didn't what anything said?
 
When they fish the airboat trails, they should expect to see some airboats come by....they have just as much right to be there as me but it also works the other way too....

Stupid, mean ol' airboaters...first they ruin the health of retired old ladies and now they're pickin on little fishes!!!

Barely have any respect left for them after only a year of airboating :(

Already more than once almost been sunk by their 3 foot wake and the total disrespect that they show for airboaters.

Also seen the fools in the "rocket" bass boats almost kill someone a few months ago on the Kiss river doin about 60-70, (his passenger flew 2 feet out of the seat). He just kept on booking!

Grizzly Man was 14 carat screwball.

The Grizz just saved the American taxpayers a lot of money by doin' him in for us, in case if he ever returned to society we wouldn't have to pay to defend his loony butt for something else. You wanna sleep with bears or panthers? Go for it, Jocko ...... but don't put me down to send flowers.

Yup ... in this case I'm with the bear. Maybe in his next life this clown would like to offer swimming lessons in a 'gator hole ...... :lol: .
