Best paint for artwork on fiberglass rudders

My mother in law is an amazing artist and has agreed to paint my rudders for me. She has concerns about paint sticking to fiberglass, any tips/tricks? Thanks!

If she did that she is gifted. What did you start with? At this point I think I would clear coat it.

May want to check Florida statutes on putting a star insignia with SHERIFF on privately owned.

Oh damn I didn’t even think of that. I bought the boat from a Sheriffs office in Iowa and they took the stars off before I picked it up for this very reason. I’m in Michigan but I’ll check with the police. Thanks
