Think I asked this question in thw wrong forum yesterday. Especially after reading about what the concept for a mini is. This would suit my purposes perfectly.
Have a shallow river up here that's been stocked with walleyes, pike, smallies. Only problem is in parts it get's as shallow as 1' deep with normal rain fall. Fellow fishermen have destroyed thier trolling motors trying to find the honey holes where the lunkers lurk.
I concider myself fairly mechanically inclined. I'm a certfied welder. Done rehabs on houses, So on and so forth. The thing is I'm not the type of person that feels comfortable with out a set of plans to go by in my hands.
Thing is, with all that I have going on, I really don't have time to sit donw and calculate if I make the hull so long, what size motor I'll need and what type/pitch the prop needs to be. I am willing to pay for that being done.
I'd like to know whom has the best plans for a really true fishin' mini. One that takes into concideration a live well, bait well. eletronics and all that jazz. I don't mind if it's not fast. I mean really how fast do fish swim?
Not withstanding, I'm a big guy. I'm over 6' tall, 275lbs. Add all my fishing gear, and I don't want my airboat becoming an airsub at the launch! LOL
