Hi I am the guy who just got 18 ft FLORAL CITY i NEED TO PUT a TROLLING MOTOR and bowfishing light setup on this boat any sugestions would be apreciated.

thanks joe

The Lenco twin trim tab trollers are the ticket. If they are in your budget, it's the way to go, Plenty of push, always ready to drop.
As with anything in the back, remember to raise them before you take off or run dry.

If not, a deck mount troller works ok.

if only they were cheaper.. the idea of the lenco trim tabs make me drool .imagine actually being able to unload your boat off the trailer under power and no longer having to push and jump everytime your leaving the dock.. someone lend me 2,000 bucks??

Dream, then see how fat your wallet is............

A buddy of mine has a pair on a 14' Freedom craft. Works great & he loves them. Able to maneuver at a pier. Even works in reverse too.

They are a bit pricey...........but the question was: Best trolling motor and light setup for fishing and bowfish

Ordered The lenco's also have a fabricator making a tube grass rake and droped of the lights to him to mount in catcher when done . it is gonna take me a few weeks to get it setup due to me going away .then i will post some pics. But please keep up your suggestions. Thanks all

The best trollin' motor that I ever used on my bowfishin' rig is the Minn Kota 74 (24v) I ran that trollin' motor on 3 different rig's & it was the cat's a$$. One bowfishin' trick is to take whatever trolling motor you plan to use & have the shaft lengthened so you can easily operate it by hand (any trolling motor repar shop can do that & they usually charge by the ft.)

I rig my lights with 500w Halogens... I like the cheapo work lights like you find at Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, Northern Tool... they're cheap, readily available & easy to instal on a boat. A trick of the trade here is to run Ultra-Bulbs made by GE at 300w.... they don't run the generator as hard, but they put out the same lumens as the standard 500w bulb.
