Big St. Johns River Marsh Buck

Melbourne's Jeff Bragg hadn't been hunting in three years when he walked up on this 170-pound, 9-point buck along the marsh of the St. Johns River north of Lake Washington. He took the deer, which scored 129 Boone and Crockett points, with his compound bow during the recent archery season. It's his heaviest Florida deer in nine years of bow hunting.

That's a heck of deer for sure....

I have a friend who got a 126 8 point during archery earlier this year in Central Florida. There is no doubt that big boys are out there.

Yep! Thats a nice one for sure. Congrats a great deer and thanx for posting it. Later, Cajun

Old Jeff, I was busting his chops about that deer last night at a party. If he drug it 1/2 a mile he must have just parked his boat on the line and the deer ran toward the line before it dropped. He is known for a deer, turkey or pig like this every year. Oh ya their always off the St.Johns river too. HE-HE
