BLOWING INTAKE GASKETS

Grease and wax remover works even better than thinner and at around 25 bucks a gallon, it's a tad cheaper than buying brake cleaner over the counter.

You can get grease and wax remover through NAPA in ther Duplicolor line, though you may find a better deal through a paint supply house

.....If you have blown the gaskets twice now....It's not about sealing...It's about BLOW-BY. ...... If you're relying on a PCV to do it.....You can weld the intake to the block and all that will hapen is you will blow out the oilpan gasket or some other gasket that lets the crankcase depressurise...

When I first read this thread I was thinking the same thing.

A new PCV might be a cheap solution, and make sure it's supplied by an unthrottled vacuum source (below the throttle butterflies)

If a new PCV and RTV end seals don't solve the prob, you're looking at a rebuild. Notice Felber said "on high horsepower appplications" he uses a vacuum pump. These work best with a dry sump and aren't a "cheap fix" for poor ring seal
