I look at the price of forced induction systems and after looking at this pic I wonder why more people arn't running them. Gotta be incredable torque? I guess most people just dont need that much!

I bet my wife wouldn't let me have rudders like that!!

Well cold you may find it interesting that a naturally aspirated small block took him by two or three boat lengths in a 400' race that day. It looks great but not really that impressive when running but it sounds good too so I guess two outta three aint bad LOL

Yeah but look at that little prop and he's probably still running a 2:1 box! 8) Waterthunder beat him? 8)

I didn't see the race Cntry is talkin about but hanging a lot of hardware on an engine doesn't necessarily make the kind of power that you need for the application.

If I saw this guy line up next to Thunder with his single 4-barrel Holley, my money would be on Thunder every time.
Like he says often, it's the Combination that counts.

Olf

Yea I bet it was WaterThunder I rode in his boat a few weeks ago and let's just say it is an experance that I won't forget once he hits the gas everything goes kinda blurey it's like riding a rocket.

Actualy the boat that out ran him was buck's boat he calls wired .it is a small block 427 all aluminium block, heads and intake pumpin out 600 horse's the boat was driven by Rat Dees of Pop Dees and son airboats out of archer florida, he raced it several times that day. Cntry posted a picture of the start in his gallery bling vs wired.best I could tell the wired boat was about 400 lbs lighter than the blown boat of barrys

Yeah Cold,
That belt is what really got my attention.
Perhaps it's a little further away from the seat than it looks in the picture.

Well stan $00lbs is a lot of weight to give up for sure. I also attributed part of it to Barry having just got his together and probably still workin on it. I believe it would be a tossup who had the most money in the engine. They both are neat lookin professionally done rigs which either of them should be and are proud of them.

Well now that I know theres a purpose for it and it's all done safely, I'm all for it!

i dont know why i keep opening up this thread cause it is never the subject of what i was thinking.

Hey Stan I would like to come up to that area and run a few of those boats are they out often. I'm sure wired is a very fast boat a 427c.u.i. all aluminum motor like that is as nasty and expensive as it gets.
