BOAT BUILD W/CADILLAC

CADILLAC MOTOR! Any suggestions as to what kind of hull and what size boat would be a good combination for the engine? Can go different ways but would like to go with the big cad engine.

I ran a DD Caddy on a 13' Nighthawk hull and currently run a reducted Cad on a 15' Alumitech. Neither one of them gave me any problems. Plumcrazy used to run a belt reducted Caddy on a 14' Diamondback without any problems.

this is a question of what is your budget.after looking at different haul's,if i was to go fiberglass i would do a wide track predator.and keep all my stainless riggin the same. if i did not worry about the benjamin franklins and was going to start over after seeing those scorpion deckovers i would do there 15'x8' deckover all stainless with a stroked crank, roller camed, alluminum headed sent to felber to message bigger bore caddy. but that is if i wanted to spend big money.

Well I might as well add my 2 cents worth. I wouldn't go any smaller than a 15x8 ft for a gear box Caddy boat. A boat that size really displaces the weight well and has a smooth ride. I have seen them on 13ft and smaller hulls and they tend to squat in the A$$ end a bit. Its a great combo on the right size hull.

tdmartin how do you like that 16x8 jimmy white hull.i talked to dantheairboatman about 14x8 jimmy white for my buddys dd 500 caddie.i agrea with john c about squat in the a$$ end. i figured the 14x8 would be perfect . how does you boat run the hill?
