Boat registration

[OVER BUDGET]

AS I was driving from Sarasota to Arcadia I was thinking why I was giving my registration money to the Sarasota tax collector.They have an ordinance against air boats.It doesn't seem right to give them my money when I cant even use my boat in that county.I would rather support a county that provides a place to use the boat I am paying to register.

OverBudget, I couldn't agree more. To take it a step further, I contend that any County that takes a registration renewal of
your boat owes you a right to operate that boat within that County as long as you're doing it in a safe and courteous manner.

I would enjoy seeing that fought in Court sometime.

Got a point there.

If there are enough landed clubs in the state, we could let folks use club addresses to register boats in counties that DO allow airboating and deprive the counties that do not of the registration fees.

My work truck is registered in Palm Bch. co. but I get the tags where ever
I'm at when I need them. Have gotten them in Brevard & Volousia.
It may be as simple as driving to the next co. since the registration
is a state tax. But either way it would sure be nice to see that those
counties that don't want us to play there, don't get our money.
