The best time to airboat fish near Boca Grande is right on the full or new moons when the flats dry out and leave stranded potholes. Bulls and Turtle Bays are the spots. Kicker boats can't get into those spots and the fish can't get out. Plan your journey from 2 hours before low tide until two hours after it. Soft plastic lures like the Tsunami Trout Mauler, Berkeley Gulp or Salt Water Assassin work best. Look for the sand bottom holes and sloughs with [plenty of dry ground around them. Catfosh and Whiddens creeks are good places to start.
