Great to meet you Bjorn, make it regular
I also got to meet Sampjet, I see why he was such a popular choice for FAA Pres. He is intelligent, well spoken and a pleasure to be around. Indeed we made the right choice there.
I got to meet Dave (Waterthunder) tough for just a second. Early before the meeting I got to see his old boat do a slow speed turn and jump to a plane. Looked really nice. Thing was on a plane in a boat length. Were I going to change from a/c to a detroit v-8 something like this would be the ticket.
I also got to see a ZZ4 'Vette engined and geared redrive Hammant boat jump up the ramp and load on the trailer. Sure made it look effortless.
Met Joe from here and some others as well. More and more folks from clubs showing up at SA and more and more folks from SA showing up at local clubs. IMHO that is a really good thing.
Local clubs are the heart of airboating, though there are still many who don't belong to clubs. Nothing wrong with being independant but the clubs sure are fun. At least ours is! Good folks and a LOT of walking history there. Missed Albert Henderson this time.
SA is growing and it is showing everywhere ya look in airboating. FAA is on the upswing as well. Sampjet is the right mand for the job IMHO. He is going around personally visiting the local clubs and just letting folks know what is happening and seeing what the clubs want/need.
Our club building is recovering well from the vandalism we suffered and the hard work and money invested by the members shows. I mean it really stands out.
Yeh I got into a bit of a rattle here. Just felt like saying a few things.
