BUI arrests

I don't know which law enforcement agency was involved, but I have heard from several sources that three airboaters were cuffed and stuffed at Orange Lake recently for boating under the influence and rasing hell in the creek.
I want to personally thank the lawmen, and hope they confiscate the boats and stick them with the max fine.
I understand the guys were from Ocala and were running big car motor boats. Got an idea who they were but not sure.
Strict enforcement of the existing laws is one way to help head off further restrictions.

I think that is great and about time folks like that give the rest of us a bad public preceptionand make us all look bad and drinking alcohol has no place in a airboating,shooting or driving a car.I have nothing against people that want to drink as long as thay do it in the proper place and in a Airboat is not that place,maybe this will send a message out to the rest of thr yea whoos out there that this type of behaviour is not going to be tolerated any more.

I must say that I'm happy to know Law Enforcement Agencies are cracking down on any type of drinking and driving. I drink and I enjoy drinking out on the water but I don't drink and drive. My best friend was killed by a drunk driver in a boat many years ago.
We have the right to bring a cooler of beer but with that comes a resposibility that every individuals must take into consideration.

There are plenty of that type out there that hurt the rest of the real boaters. I never did understand why people get obliterated every chance they get. I definately enjoy a cool one myself . Michelob Light to be exact. But my life has never been that bad to drink that much to try and escape every day of the week. Can't understand how they call it enjoyment. Sorry. Hope they lose their boats. Best thing that can happen for us. By the way, i'm not a holyroller either. Although i do believe in a higher being.

well I agree I am glad they got busted. I don't scare easy but when runnin on the weekends I fear the drunk drivers on airboats, they pull over pop two or three drive away for a mile or two , pull over pop two or three and so on and so on and by dark they are soused drivin with no lights on Ya'll know what I am talkin about. The game wardens and other officers are stretched so thin they almost never get caught drivin drunk unless they hurt someone. They are 10' tall and bullet proof with an attitude to match. As far as I am concerned the sooner the better they get busted.
