Building Swamp Buggy. (Need advice)

Just wondering if any of the Swamp buggy builders out there can give me some advise. I am building a midsize buggy using Military 3/4 ton running gear. (Weapons Carrier, Dodge) . I want to mount the transfercase solid to the frame with NO rubber mounting brackets. I had to turn the T/C to lower one side a little. Not enough to hurt anything. mounting it solid was difficult. It would be much more difficult to add rubber mounting brackets. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I have mounted transfer cases both ways, with or without bushings. the thing to remember is all frames twist during operation. Transfer cases are solid and don't give. if it is mounted from frame rail to frame rail, I would put bushings in it so it can move slightly. If you need to mount it solid, build a cross member for it, and install the cross member on the transfer case using the available mounting points of the transfer case, then you can bolt that cross member to the frame rails. Doing this it takes the pressure off the transfer case and moves the pull and twist to the cross member. The cross member will give with the twist and return to position without applying pressure to the transfer case and cracking it open or snapping off the mounting ears.
