Bullfrog Bud Marquis Ride, Feast and Appreciation Ceremony

ALL RIGHT GUYS ME AND THE WIFE ARE BRINGING ENOUGH BAKE BEANS FOR 90 -100 PEOPLE AND ALSO ENOUGH SOUTHERN GREENS FOR 90-100 PEOPLE , I JUST NEED TO KNOW THE GAME PLAN ON WHERE TO TAKE THE FOOD AND WHO TO GIVE IT TO FRIDAY NIGHT ? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE INFO

D-BREWSTER, take the food to the AAOF club there will be a 28ft trailer parked next to the grills. It belongs to a fellow named Larry. He is going to be Manning the grills for the event. He will be heating up the food while we are on the ride. Give it to Larry, he will know what to do with it.

  Nothing like Airboaters helping Airboaters
I know I'm preaching to the choir but someone's got to do the preaching? Please keep this a very positive outing and remember not all of us at the memorial are Airboaters. With this in mind please have patience. We would like nothing better than everyone leaving with nothing but good thoughts of Airboaters. There will be lots of media with lots of cameras and well scripted views so please be on your best behavior. It would be nice to see no open containers if you have a beer please put it in a mug. The reason why I'm asking this of you is because all of the pictures we have of the deer save in the 60s have a beer can in them. This one will go down in history so let's keep it clean Please.

When unloading your boat please be courteous and have everything on the boat before you launch your boat. Try to come off of the pavement while leaving room for others even if you have to go down and make a U-turn on the levy and come back a round to the ramp, safety is number one. After you launch your boat trying to have someone else park you're truck this will save a lot of time. Waiting for others to join us will be the most boring part of the memorial so please have patience and BS with others while waiting.

While heading to the crash site please leave safe distance between others but follow the leader. No hot doging save these activities for when our guest leave. Please pay attention what others are doing. Remember safety is number one. There will be plenty of time to ride the glades after the ceremony and the guest leave. I know I'm just preaching to choir but remember someone has too.

If you have food that needs to be cooked or heated please take it to AAOF campgrounds and leave it for the cooks to prepare it for us. Please store it in a cooler with your name on the cooler this way you can drop it off on Friday or early Saturday morning.

We will be having a meeting on Friday night at around 7 p.m. just to get over the last minute details so plan to join us at the AAOF.

I personally am excited and can't wait for Saturday outing with many goodhearted Airboaters.

Yeah what he said. I got a late start and chunked a wheel bearing just N of Sarasota. By the time I got it repaced it was too late so I went to the Kissimmee river.

1 more thing to add to your tool box list. Spare packed wheel bearings for your trailler. Or of course you could just check you bearings once in a while and keep them greased..........................nah, too easy..

Awesome!!! I am so glad it went well!!! :)

How did Bud do on the his own? He looks like he never had a lull in airboating at all in the pics. :?

Sawgrass hill, it was a pleasure meeting you and your grandson.
I enjoyed talking to you about your job getting rid of the pythons in the glades.
Keep up the good work. :D

Live Trapping these poor understood, displaced creatures of God, is something to be considered! :!:

They are not the culprits, that title belongs to the lazy human that chose to be lax in his/her responsibility of bringing an exotic pet into their home and then found out that the creature needed more attention than they were willing to give.

Don't get me started!!

Thank you Sawgrass Hill for helping these creatures!

I just wanted to let yall know that I got a phone call from Jay Repo (son of the flight engineer) yesterday ,Thanking everyone for all that they did for the Survivors and the family members of the victims. I have been getting a lot of phone calls, All are thanking us for a job well done. Some have called two and three times. This event has really meant a lot to them and they want to make sure that I pass it along,

that is what is cool we just wanted to help a fellow boater and it became so much more than that ,those people needed this and im so glad they got some closure an well deserved rememberance of those lost and saved

Plum, don't forget that Dec. 3rd every year is officially Buddy Marquis Day in Miami.
Remember the proclamation they read that day? Sounds like a Ride to me. :D
