bump up 125

no your not.. .. theres a few engine builders on here that have said they can tweak engines but the good stuff seems to be closely guarded. I'd like to squeeze more outta my 160 hp but it seems to me that the amount of money I'd put into it I'd be better off finding an angle valve 360.

You need to talk to Westside on this subject, he is very good with getting 125's to run. I have seen his dad's old 125 smoke 540's in drag races before, 200+ hp can be done.

well you can make lots of power with those engines but youcan only get about 140 like they are without splitting the case. buy a set of angle valve 435 cylinders wtih high comp pistions. good set of headers and you will have about 140 hp. but if you want to go wild you can split the case have it bored for 480 cylinders put a 320 crank in it long rods. with cut pistons and have a bad little with about 190 hp. but your probably going to spend about 3grand doing it right. bobby hoffman has done lots with those motors in the past and could get you hooked up. if you need his number PM me and ill give it to you.

The money it would take to make it scream, would buy you
a good 180 that would scream compared to that 125.
and most likely be more durable in the long haul.

I dont post here much but here it is, I personaly think to build a 125 would be bad a$$ not that the bigger motors would'nt work . It's just that to have a 125 build is probably unique.The names mentioned above are the leaders in aircraft builds.
Some people that have been in the airboat community around Aircraft motors say for 125's there is all kinds of inprovements to squeeze out power out of them............

1. Install longer rods.(This will make it snap and is cheap.)
2. Bore case put 320 cyls on it.You also need to go to ma-4 carb and sump.
3. Bore case, change crank, sump, carb, pushrods and tubes and cyls to 360.
