buying a flordia build

Looking for a little nudge in the right direction, getting ready to order a new boat but i cant seem to justify spending 15k more on an air ranger over a Florida build. Not knocking them in any way they are awesome boats i have riddin in plenty but i can order the same size hull engine and set up from 2 different Florida builders for nearly 15k less. I'm looking for advise from guys that have ordered Florida boats down here in Texas. my worry is getting it then having some sort of issue that requires me to drag it 13-15 hours back to Florida .

If you go with a reputable company American Airboats, Diamondback, and other TOP tier builders you won’t have to worry about it not being right. If you go with a lesser company, well you get what you pay for. Air rangers, and Diamondbacks keep their value much longer than others just take a look at some of them two for sale the price of most of them for a 10yr old boats are still $30-45k jmho

I agree to stick with the top tier companies, way to many people here lately trying to save a some money just end up screwing themselves. Do as much research as you can, talk to people and see how their service has been after the sale. Do they answer the phone when you call them? Definitely look at quality, appearence, resale, durability, workmanship, longevity. Talk to commercial operators who run their boats on a daily basis and ask them their opinions. It just depends where you ride and how you use your boat. I truly believe you get what you pay for. jmo

Circle H Airboats in Elba, Alabama does some really nice builds and very customizable. I'm contemplating ordering one soon to replace my fiberglass setup. They are a small family company. Prices are really competitive.

There is a 100 “ mom and pop” companies out there some good some horrible, research is key. Knowing what you want the boat to do and your expectations. Going with a TOP builder you may not get in the water as fast most are a few months out on builds. Personally I wouldn’t have CH airboats put air in my trailer tires, but that’s just been my personal experience with them and a brothers boat! Read the CONTRACT this will keep you and builder on same page and ASK any questions before signing it. Again a reputable company has a decent contract not a vague one.

Diamondback, Alumitech,Hamant,Panther,GTO,Mamba,JB, just to name a few. Lots of great builders here in florida.
