Boat is a running fine !But when it warm up back fires thought the intake !Got a couple of lifters that are sort of soft but, new ! Sort of fishing ! put my 2.3 blades on my new rotator and it really noiseie about 1000 to 1500 I mean loud, my be the cam but going to run it !Its hush with out the blades ! just wondering Thanks guys !

Fatboy welcome to the world of gearboxes, hollow blades and big cams LOL. Can't help you on the backfire but the rest of it sounds normal.

i had that problem before it was a broke spring but i doubt it is that. the other time my timing was off bad do to the changing of the pulleys.if you got those stamped pulleys fatboy to replace the other one that was cast and used the same pointer you can be anywhere from 4 to 14 degrees off on timing.

Noise? When I fired my Cadi and gearbox combo the first time, I thought the whole rigg was coming apart. At 1000 rpm.s, the stinger rattles really bad. Did I say REALLY BAD? After that it is not bad. Just gears clashing I suppose. Sounds like any other gearbox.

I AM NOT GOING TO SNEAK UP ON NOBODY , IDLEING ! THATS FOR SURE ! I GOT ABOUT 5 OF MY LIFTERS THAT DONT WANT TO GET WITH THE REST ! SO I GOT TO HERD THEM UP ! THANKS

I run a Precision box and I don't think there is any other that can make more noise than mine at idle. FYI, when you cut the solid tips off the composite blades (emergency repair) the noise isn't nearly as bad. :blackeye:
