Ok I have the pistons installed now is the cam.. I went to my race parts store and the only cloyes timing chain they could get was a single true roller chain.. Cloyes didnt have any double roller chains. Is a single sufficient for my DD? And when I do install the stock cam,how much do I advance it? Thanks very much...

yes cloyes is the only way to go,they do not make a double roller for cadillac but it is good steel they use and even the chineese chain is ok but i believe the ones at retail our the american chain.

Call MTScadparts and order your cloyes marty is super helpful and I know for a fact there are a few of these threads you can look up from the past. I initially used a napa chain and broke it after 5 or so hours use the cloyes dont skimp!

Dont run the stock camshaft. Order an mts-5 from Maximum Torque Specialties in California. Advance the stocker, if you have no choice, to the 4 degrees advanced setting using the cloyes. Many people have advocated a full tooth on the cam gear which is a whole bunch advanced.....I have never tried that though.

did you edit the post don't remember the cam question.i have a lunati 34602 camshaft for a caddy with about 20 hours and the lunati lifters with the same they look bearly worn.and you can have it. it will do alot better than the stock cam and if the rest is pretty much stock.i believe the ramps are not to aggresive for stock t-pedastles.
