This woman lives in half a million dollar house and she can hear
Airboats running at night ? Maybe if she sits outside all night ?

It's my understanding that she moved here from California, go figure !

I live in the same area and do not hear airboats running all night long. even if they did it would not bother me. these people need to move if they don't like it.

There is no reason this lady should be kept awake, six blocks from the lake. If she is inside her house trying to sleep she could. And the whole, "you told us about the paradise of Oseceola county" or how ever it was said. Dont you just love it when people dont research the places they move to, and then want everyone and everything else to change around them. It's all a crock of S. Tell her to turn the hearing aids down!

I think there is one important message here not to be overlooked. She quoted a couple things that were said at the last meeting by airboaters. These people don't comb their hair the same way we do and it's very important that we deal with them professionally an to the point and not give them stuff to write about. I have seen people like us that enjoy the outdoors loosing ground for 40 years and I don't think it will ever stop. But I will go to my grave proud, being part of outdoorsmen and women that get in there and fight for their rights.

Sounds like she needs to contact the builder of her house and get her money back for building such a cheap house.

somebody needs to get her some impact windows.......they should be a prereq to any new home on a lake. I can't hear squat through mine.

Property rights end at the waterline. The water belongs to every taxpaying citizen in this State.

If you buy a home next to an airport, and then want to complain about the sound of airplanes taking off ........ Oh, well ! :?

This is why you always hear me preachin' about using big mufflers and building as quiet as you can afford to though, folks.
It's not going to go away. We have to do our part too.

A couple facts she needs to get straight is there is no curfew during gator season and the sheriffs office is patrolling the lake and taking decible readings. I was stopped 2 weeks ago by two sheriff airboats after being followed around the lake for over an hour by the sheriffs helicopter. There was 4 airboats on that end of the lake that night and two of them were the law. Hows that for our tax dollars at work?

how ever in the mean time there is street racing , burglaries ,and drugs being sold on our streets and they would rather fly the helo to patrol air boaters . That really chaps my arse

With people like this lady and "Trudy" it is a prejudice. We can try to quiet them all we want, they will still complain. They make their judgment because they are biased. This lady doesn't like duck hunting or shotgun starts at fishing events either.

It's a shame that the lawyers and legal system and our government in America now take away rights from thousands just to protect one! Like I stated before if airboaters were a bird or plant there would be laws protecting us and preventing none indigenous species (blue haired Yankee's) from destroying our habitat! But were just people and tax payers so we are not important as a scrub jay or Logger head!
