i'm trying to go from lake hellen blazes to blue cypress lake. does anyone know if i can cross the fellsmere grade road in an airboat? if so, where? thanks! --brian

hey I haven't been to hell and blazes but the grade road ends down there at the stick marsh if your coming form the north you run down though the rough blocks but think they have that closed now for construction

yes you can cross the road go south from hell n blazes through big and lil grassy and it turns into a canal follow it and take a left at gator run ( a little ways south of bulldozer canal) real windy takes you to 40 canal go south there a plug youhave to jump go straight south about 4 or 5 miles and a canal ( angle ditch) goes kinda south east follow it and it will take you yo a set of stuctures go past them the next stucture is at the end of the m-canal wooden jump on west side of stucture go up on the wood but go down on the grass real steep go south and you will end up at beatiful blue cypress lake. good luck canals are open nothing closed

Gator run on a map is three forks run if your trying to look it up,and hellen blazes is south of big and little sawgrass. Moodfoods maps show all of it down to keansville lake, pick one up from him,you won`t be dissapointed.

i already have one of matt's maps(it's great). i just wasn't sure if i could cross the fellsmere rd or not. i'm going to load up with avgas and give it a shot in a week or two. thanks for the info!! --brian

yes you do have to jump a couple of dikes.but you don't have to cross over no roads.when you get to the back side of the stick marsh it is a straight shot to blue cypress .

Jax, It`s not actully a road it`s a dike,it`s called fellsmere grade. The Platt`s and the state used it to walk drag line`s down that way.

I think there are two dike crossings with wooden airboat ramps
to get to Blue Cypress, but when you get down to Hwy 60 now
thats another story.

thanks guys. i don't have much experience crossing dikes but i'll see what the boat and i can do. thanks for the info. --brian

Hey Brian, before you try to run up that dike, ease up to it at an idle
turn around and give it a good blast of prop wash maybe a couple of
times. Get the ramp good and wet it should help.
and be careful, and most of all have fun.

nice pictures, I would like to make that trip, not familiar with that area, could you send me directions ? much appreciated.......Codie.
