Carbon prop, Which one?

I am saving to replace my 70x34 Sensenich stick prop with a carbon unit but there are so many choices. I run a 350 DD on a 12'8" glass boat. I'll probably buy used to save money. I know Sensenich will get a lot of support and I was thinking about one of there Q series in 72". What about the Water Walker signature series? Whirl Wind super snapper? I see the Terminator's going for pretty good prices used. I am at a disadvantage up here because I don't get an opportunity to see any of these run in person, So I am relying on yall's experience. I am pretty sure any of these will be quiter than what I have now (except maybe a warp drive) so sound aside what are the pro's and con's of each of these models? I don't run dry up here like yall' do so keep that in mind. I need to get my choices narrowed so I can know what to be on the lookout for. Thanks guys.

I started out with a 350 DD running a 72x36 stick prop. I tried a 72 inch 5 blade warp drive. It handled much better and ran dry alot better, but the best thing I did was putting a gear box on and 78 inch wide blade on the boat. Now I go pretty much where I want to go. If you can save up and buy a box and new prop you will be much happier.

red dawf had the same basic setup dd 350. He had a warp drive then he went to the Q and his boat ran like a different boat. talk to red :D

Yeah I saw that prop and box, they are very very nice. I will keep this thing DD for a while, I plan to pull the motor next winter (if it lasts that long) and rebuild it as a 383.

Q series has my vote but the Whirlwind are ok as well. You should be able to find Warp drive pretty cheap if you can stand the noise they have the snap you would want on a DD 350. I guarentee if you did find a Sensenich Q series you wouldn't be unhappy with it or any other adjustable prop. Then when you stretch the motor out you shouldn't need to buy a bigger prop either... just add pitch.

I don't see many 2 blade Q's for sale, I guess that's a testament to their quality, nobody wants to get rid of them. I see terminators for a grand quite often but I don't know anything about them. I would really like to get a Q but finding one at the same time I have the money in hand is going to be a chance of fate. I also like the looks of the Water Walker signature.

you might try to get in touch with Faron Floyd (Airboatcapt02) and see if he can find you a good used prop. I saw on http://www.whilwindpropellers.com they have a 68" super snapper 2 blade on sale. I don't know though if it is enough prop for a small bloch Chebby. But he can get you any prop I'm sure. He treated me real well when I got my prop from him.

To be honest any carbon fiber prop that you can set the pitch on will be a big improvement over that wood prop. You can set it to run like you want it to and they are lighter with most of the weight being at the hub making them snap up much quicker. Any one of them will work just fine. Look for a good deal that you are happy with and buy it. Later on if you choose to go with a box you can resale that prop.

Thanks guys, I think triple "L" was correct when he said any of them will be an improvement over what I am currently running. I'll just save my pennies and make some calls when the time is right.

I think the Q Series would be your best bet, and I know you wouldn't be disappointed. I run a cypress series powershift, and a buddy of mine runs a 3 blade H series sens. both are good props, but if I could go get get any prop tommorrow, I would go buy a Q series. Just my opinion.

For my money its water waker there thrust numbers cant be beat and the price is reasonable call swampjet water waker has perftcted the use of lighter strongrer carbon material IMO they have made agreat prop even better
