Restrictions on recreational air boating in that marsh have done little to slow down the state law enforcement and water management boats from using it. It is their private playground. Rumor has it the fishing, frogging, and hunting is second to none there now. Cowboy and I grew up in that marsh while it was still legal for us to be there. I hear now some genius is proposing getting an airboat ride company in their to give "echo tours" of the "Grassy Waters Preserve" A.K.A. Lake Park Marsh. It's a damed shame what we let people get away with. The Palm Beach club fought hard and expended as much in reasources as they could at the time and were simply ignored. Development was coming like it or not and airboats were part of the plan. That part of the plan was to get rid of them in the catchment area and they did. Chalk another one up. It's a damed shame. That was, and a I would bet still is, the prettiest marsh I've ever been in.
