Citrus County Airboat Alliance will have a club meeting and annual Airboat Rodeo at the outfall canal on Lake Hernando Saturday April 21,

We would have it at the swimming hole but we would have to use real horses (NO WATER)

Darkwader,

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I knew there was someting else more fun going on that weekend. Made plans last night to help out on another lake cleanup here in Polk.

Can somebody take my place at the rodeo please? :)

Best launch is in the town of Hernando...right beside the fire house. It's right on US 41 and just south of SR 200.

Word is there are some hot sticks gunning for Always Champion Greg Abbott. Nobody - yet - has beaten that direct drive Caddy / Rivermaster. Really, really wish I was gonna be at that one.

Not the same day as Project Eagle in Polk County. Project Eagle is April 28....

Big Daddy,

Thanks for steering me straight on the schedule, too much going on in too short of a period to remember it all!

I got a buddy up there in Hernando County that needs a seat on a boat for him and his wife that day. Anybody got an empty seat, don't have to be on the same boat.

Big Daddy - why is it whenever I read your posts - I hear your VOICE inside my head??? It's pretty cool.... you type just like you talk. :) Is it bad to admit that the "voices in my head".... sound like you??? LOL

For general info, (as usual, correct me if I'm wrong) The outfall canal is at the north end of the lake. Maybe just slightly east of the north end of the lake.

If that pool of the lake were a clock, and you put in at the ramp which would be maybe 7 o'clock, the meeting place would be at 1 o'clock (Very roughly)

But Bravo - if you head out... and head in that general direction - there will be so many boats on the water buzzing around like a hornet's nest - it will not be hard to find. That's how we found it year before last. We just put in late.... and headed off and no more than 15 minutes of "exploring" and we found it. It ain't the glades. :p

Good luck - I hope we get to see everyone out there!

off the chain is every where these days he s putting a lot of trailer miles on that beast , who won the rodeo ?

Yep!

Thanks to the CCAA for an awesome day! Very good job of organization and course location. The track looked really fast, (I got some video but it's too large to upload).

Thanks to Branco I hitched a ride to an awesome day as "navigator"! My first day ride on an aircraft powered boat! His boat rocks even with 3 people, 2 very large coolers and all the gear to boot!

Thanks to Darkwader for taking a couple of friends of mine riding for the day :thumbright: I owe you one man!

Thanks to A1Mudpuppy for the gps coordinates, (with a new gps...I still had all 7 of the boats in our group going aroung in circles at one point) :D
Honestly...I just never want to leave...

Dudley, you gotta get out there on that course next time  I think you coulda beat that car motor

The 2007 airboat show winning boat "Viper/Off The Chain" put on more than just an awesome appearance....Bad To The Bone :headbang:

If you missed the rodeo this year...better not miss it next year, I know I won't
