Changeing the bolt holes from 3/8" to 1/2" in a wo

I have drilled out many props from 7/16 to 1/2 inch. I have never had a problem with it, even made a plate for a template so things were a little easier. Having a car motor that swings a 66 inch prop lead me to this as it is hard to find'em that size in 1/2" unless you order them.

I would drill it out .:D I personally would use a drill press to make sure the bore stays straight
I was thinking of using a brace & bit with the prop laying across my lap. :tard: Last time I used one in my lap it went thru and kept on going.

ok that sounds like a personal problem hat we just don't need to know about

I didn't mean to seem like a smart ass about (sorry if I did) it just meant to make the point that free handing a drill bit you could run off and even a small drill press would keep your bore straight

Gold, I didn't take your post that way either. I almost suggested the same thing. Some folks hang sheetrock with a framing nailer ...... :? .

I was just haveing fun....even as dumb as I am, it wouldn't use a hand drill.
Brownells Gunsmithing supply has a poster that shows a guy with a hand drill whos obviously been drilling into the reciever of a rifle to the dismay of the onlooking owner. the caption is "Don't worry about them extra holes, the bases cover 'em up!"
