This is a public thank you for Chris (cchardt). I needed a new cage built for my boat. I liked the idea of using square tubing for it so I contacted Chris and agreed to have him do the work. I had heard good things about him on the forum and now I can agree first hand with everything that was said.
I like to rate jobs done on 3 factors
1: quality. I was very happy with all aspects of the work that was done. It looks great and he took great care with the job. The hoops were rolled not kinked not that easy with square tubing. You could demonstrate the terms square, parallel, and concentric on my cage. The joints were cut a the proper angles so it was not necessary to fill in large gaps with the welder. All the work that was discussed to be done even the parts that I gave him a basic idea what I wanted and let him finish were done in a well thought out and funtional manner right down to the final paint job.
2: Timley manner. We agreed on when I was going to bring the boat up and when it was going to be done. There were no excuses as to I couldnt get it done because... or I had to RUSH (lower the quality to be able to finish on time) to get it done. I showed up and it was finished and ready for pickup, in fact I am sure because of the pictures posted that it was done a couple of days early.
3: cost: The price was comparable for the cage to other shops I called for a quote. The extra work that he did for me other than the cage was fair and reasonable.

The reason for the is not only to show my appreciation for work well done but to tell others this is someone I would highly recomend.

When a person takes pride in his or her workmanship you tend to get your monies worth. But that is whats lacking in alot of others. Glad to see and hear of another person who takes pride in what they do. Great job Chris, keep up the great work. Later, Cajun

That is a very cool statement, and quite the compliment.

Laura & I were able to ride on Bravo's boat Saturday and I saw the work close up. It is solid, yet light. Nice looking welds and well coated with paint.

Way to go Bravo for pointing out some good work, and way to go Chris for doing it.

:)

Meet the man for the first time over the weekend.( BS'ed with him on the chat a few times)Could tell right off the bat that he has a PASSION for what he does and seemed like a fine indivdual - am proud to know the man. SAFARI

I just want to say thanks for the good word ... I try very hard to do the best job I can 1 boat at a time

Nice to see somebody get some good credit.

I especially like the part about it being done on time. The world needs more craftsmen like that. Too many times have I heard "next Friday, next week," etc.....

Good job CC, keep it up.

There is an art to predicting WHEN something will be done. Any true craftsman knows that a job will be done WHEN IT IS DONE. Predicting when that will be or how much it will cost is a separate skill-set.

The satisfaction of fine craftsmanship lingers for years after the glow of cheep price and quick dlivery have passed.

That Chris can do this speaks well of his multiple skills not solely as a craftsman. Business is a tough nut to crack and I think Chris is on the right track with the right nutcracker.

Good show man

Scotty

Probly just means he's done it a bunch of times and knows exactly what he's doing.

Well I'm building a conduit rigging boat right now and will have pictures soon been super busy and don't have much time to get on here.

but I will do my best to make sure every boat I build is done to the best way I know how and to make sure that every person is happy with the out come. 1 boat at a time. if you only build 1 at a time you won't get side tracked with 40 other ones

here is the dom rigging I done after powder coat they clam it is black with gold flake
