Cntry's new 26.5 HP engine

Ill bet you could by one of Waterthunder's 600 HP engines for less than they want for those things too !

No kidding Whitebear. One of the comments under the video suggested that they cost upwards of $10 grand.

That is still one of the coolest things I've seen today!!! Someone has some incredible machine shop & design skills.... and way too much time on their hands!!!

Basket - To find that video, and make the connection with cntry's new motor... sir, you have the most wonderfully TWISTED sense of humor!!!!!!!!

:)

OK I'll be the dumb a__, do they really put those to any kind of use? Those are sweet but curious if they are just for looks and bench play or if they really put them to use. Wonder what a light weight mud devil would do with one. Later, Cajun

Basket - thanks for emailing that link to me. Yeah it was difficult to post. It was really long so I used tinyurl.com to convert it to a reasonable length. (it was so long it messed up the way this page displays)

I tried to paste the movie directly into this post, but I guess S/A does not allow that. For good reason, I'm sure! I've checked the link I just pasted in and it works good.

THOSE MINI MOTORS ARE A FRIGGIN' WORK OF ART!!!!!!

So cool!!!!!

I think the cost per HP is way too high to be put to any practical use. I suspect these things are just demonstration of skills units.

The guys that build these are Master Machinists.
I've seen a Model B John Deere tractor that a guy built from the original engineering drawings that he got from the JD company. The pistons were 1/2" in diameter, and it was complete right down to the gears in the transmission. He had made scale grease fittings for all of the steering complete with check-balls in them, and a scale grease gun about an 1 1/2" long to grease them with. The gauges on the dash panel were to scale, and worked. And yes, it runs.

I have a friend in Australia who does model engineering. I'll email him and see if he can send me the link to that little tractor. You won't believe it.

Those things are neat and if all of ya'll would start building them then less would be froggin so Stan and I could get more frogs and we would bring them to the shows ya'll put on and cookem up for ya. just a thought LOL really they are works of art and show great skill on the part of the builders even the castings if purchased will require great skill to finish and assemble.

My buddy's name is Reg Ingold, and he has a website. I emailed him a few minutes ago about a link to the little JD tractor and he's a 'good bloke' as they say 'down under' .... if there's a link to it he'll send it.

I would like to see a master machinist build a complete working airboat with one of those engines and a gear reduction. That could be one bad (and expensive) R/C airboat! :thumbleft:
