How about with purple or dark cherry.

My, my ..... what a pretty airplane that one is!

D-Brewster, I've seen one combo that I liked a lot. Dove (light) grey and cherry red. If you go easy on the red I think it looks very classy. I've seen it on a few airplanes, but only on one airboat.

Gun metal gray metal works and burgundy hull and seats metal work stripe in burgundy and dark yellow. Just thinking out loud.

Dark, built a drag bike once with GM gun metal grey and burgundy. Probably the sharpest lookin bike I ever ran.
Accents mean a lot to the overall look too ...... a little polished aluminum or stainless here and there really adds to the way it comes off.

White goes with any color. Why not get a white hull? I love the color of mine.

Try going to good powder coating shop they usually have alot to choose from, or call Mike thurman he puts out some nice looking motors and show boats.

D Brewster,
You mentioned orange, how about orange with accents of green and white. Kinda reminds me of a cool bottle of "Orange Crush". A real, wet, southern treat.
