At 7:00 am this morning there were 4 registered users and 401 "Guests ". This has been a great forum for all of us airboaters, so please, if you are enjoying this....get registered. This is a family style forum, no porn, no serious threats or chest pounding, safe for the little ones. I don't do Facebook (feel like I would have to turn in my man card if I did) but I see where many have gone there. Here we are allowed to talk about ARs, O'Biden, and not be told to quit. So, please join, if possible give a few $$. I will now get off my orange crate and get another cup of coffee. Thanks for letting me speak my peace, Mark

You keep preaching man, (from another one who ditched fakebook).
I started out here years ago when Rick first came online, (Basketcase my original username lost credentials).
There is NO other complete resource for airboat information even close to SA.
 
I would bet some or most of the 401 guest are registered users. I have to sign in everytime I come on and I do. I don't know what changed but checking keep me signed in doesn't work for me. If it doesn't work for others they might not bother signing in.
 
Definitely a lot of people that don't log in these days. Plenty of site traffic; they just don't log in.

Jeff, that old basketcase account is still active. Let me know if you want to revive it.

Gary, I have that login problem too. I haven't figured out a fix yet, but I do have a workaround that keeps me from logging in every time. I just go to the home page & reload it. After that, I go to the forum and am automatically logged in. You still have to have that "Remember Me" box checked though.

Gary what browser are you using? I have been testing Edge Beta at work and it gives me the same issues you are experiencing.

I use google chrome at home and it keeps me logged in with no issues.
 
I had the same issue with the login. There may be an issue on the backend as I made sure to consistently click the remember me box. The fix I've found is to never close the tab on my phone and use the same session.

I wasn't going to bring it up and pester anyone but glad someone brought it up.

I have a sneaking suspicion it's an option that's checked in the admin console of the forum itself as I used it to force my users to continuously login for security reasons.
 
I have no issues using Firefox browser on a Windows computer and Safari browser on my I phone. A couple of months ago there was some kind of change where I had to log in again on both devices, but no issues since.
 
Here yah go Blownaway 540, I signed up/registered. Just a little history, I'm another newbie. Been reading on SA for a couple years before I bought my boat. I was hoping to do everything perfect the first time, but we all know the odds of that. Overall I am Very pleased with my boat and the overall experience at Poor Boys, I have 80 hours on it now and I or it have done nothing yet to scare me. Reading all you guys posts it has taught me a lot. I'm not a tech guy so if I screw this up I will try again.
 
I made some changes in the settings that required that John. You should be okay from here. Let me know if not.

I keep experimenting with different browsers and some do require a new login after about an hour even with "Remember Me" checked. However, if I reload the home page, it logs me back in automatically.

There are never 400 real people on the site

most of the unlogged in users are spiders crawling the site to grab what they can. its amazing how much data they suck up. bots from China and Russia and all damn over. its why ya do not post pvt data on the forum.

Love this site but at some point the forum boss might want to think about jumping to xenforo. i know it cost but its lightyears better then phpbb. I duno what you spend on hosting but a 20$ linode with free cloudflare could run this place at warp speed with xenforo and fix all the problems the site has now If you want help just ask :)
