I have a 2.0:1 belt drive with a78x50 wood Sensenich that I'm changing to a 2.3:1 belt drive and I was considering a 78" Q-series wide 2 blade Sensenich does any one have experience with this combo? The boat is 13'3"x7'6" with a ZZ3 any in put would greatly appreciated.(rpm are 5000 with 2.0:1 and 78x50)

The super wide two blade doesn't seam to perform as well. It run's good but doesn't Cruise well. Since you have a 2.38 ratio and can't run a 2.68 I would suggest a wide three blade! Not the two blade super wide! I have tried the super wide in three cases and in all three they didn't perform as well. In all three cases we were running a 2.68 so we went to a 3 blade and with a lower HP motor we went to the standard width 3 blade. With a 2.38 you will not be able to swing cause a lot more vibration.

roberti53 ,I was meaning the super wide but I'm interested in both blade styles.

Waterthunder ,Thanks for your input very helpful,I don't know if there are any other ratios available or not for the belt drive (CH3).The belt is 12 years old and I had planned to change the ratio when I pull it down for the new belt and prop.My wood prop is in good shape (same age as the belt)but I'm looking to get a little quieter
in the prop area the mufflers I have seem to do the job (Borla).

Thanks
Mike

How much do you guys think two blade q series will wake up a 350 direct drive boat , I'm running a 72x32 wood blade sensenich now on a 13'6 glass hull with polymere

The Q-Series are great props. I would love to make some suggestions, but most of my knowledge is in the Aircraft engines. Water Thunder makes some great suggestions. There are some of the other suggestions that have been tested and tried. When you do make a decision please allow us a chance to give you a price quote on your prop.
Thanks

I just bought mine from Mike ,if you are considering buying a prop, Mike is a good guy to deal with.
