Contact info for stinger (bruce kay)

anybody out there have a number for stinger ? I purchased a 2.38 soft drive from bruce bout 6 months ago and now thinking about changing ratio to 2.68.....but now i cant seem to find his number anywhere....thanks for any assistance !! :)
 
Hey CNTRY, how come Stinger is so private? They don't have a website or anything. They are just happy selling to the MFG/dealers?
 
They are very happy just selling to dealers for the most part. Usually the purchaser gets good advice from the dealer as to what box and prop combination is best suited for the application. I know before anyone says it .. that not all dealers are giving good advice but if they don't at least they are the ones who have to explain it.

There are quite a few people who know how to contact them directly but they really like to have folks go through a dealer and you don't save any money by directly contacting them they protect the dealer profit margins which are not that large anyways especially when you consider the time spent getting the customer what they need or want and then helping them when they got what they asked for which wasn't what they needed but you got tired of talkin about it and just gave them what they wanted.

BUT THEY ARE REALLY NICE FOLKS AND STAND BEHIND EVERY BOX THEY BUILD OFTEN LONG AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. verry verry nice folks and smart also, LOL

the news is - i was told they have a bunch of gears getting hardned rite now so it will be a couple of weeks- which is no problem for me because im still in the building stage at this point, hopefully not too much longer! but what is interesting is the gear is at a different offset inside the housing, so its not just swapping out the gear.

got another call this afternoon- looks like it might be happening alot sooner than expected ! now this is good customer service!!!
 
well i recieved another phone call yesterday and my new box is ready!!!!
so its up to me to make the drive, since the day i posted this question i must have gotten at least 7-8 phone calls.......its a blessing that we have at least a couple of companies out there that actually care about their customers.

Well, im the proud owner of a 2.68 STINGER gearbox. ive got to get my priorities straight and get this monster finished up......a super big thankyou to sharon at stinger for being very responsive and following through on everything ......real good people.....if you ever have a chance, give you business to STINGER, they deserve it.

Why is their contact information secret? I see Stinger Drives Inc, with Sharon listed as the president, on the Florida corporations site over near Tampa. But why the secrecy? Charles
 
its not that its secret, i imagine that they prefer to do business through their distributors.......i was in a 'special' situation, and was taken care of accordingly......i had abox that i hadnt used and i paid a upgrade to change the gear ratios, but you just cant change ratios like in a rear end, its were they are mounted in the box as well, so i had to swap out the entire box...... :D
