continental 0300

i bought a continental 0300 for dirt cheap needing one side re built i have all the parts to do it but im wondering about an oil filter on it. also does anyone know where to get a starter conversion kit to switch from pull start to key start? this is my first boat and im learning as i go slowly. so all info is greatly appreciated.

you can get a key start starter to bolt right in where the pull starter is....probably cheaper that a conversion kit especially if you have the stock generator/alternator already...they are not real expensive and you can use the same clutch drive assembly...just need the starter and a solenoid

Yes I do still have the stock alternator I'm gonna try and switch the starter over this week thanks gmac

also that engine has an oil screen that filters the oil....just unscrew it from the accessory housing clean it out and put her back in...it is good to do this everytime ya change oil plus it lets ya check how the engine is wearing inside
