Continential Millennium Cylinders

I have an e-185 case, with angle valve 0-470 cylinders... I was thinking of up-grading my cylinders to the new millennium cylinders...and maybe pumping it up a little, maybe fuel-injection..not sure about the fuel injection, but the question i am wondering is if i can use my same pistons, and intake, as i have now?? I belive i can, but im not sure..Any help would be appreciated!! :D
 
If you have standard continental 470 angle valve cylinders everything will bolt right up as long as they are 470 Millenium cylinders with the same bore measurement, standard, .010, .015. For the fuel injection you could use a throttle body that would bolt to your existing intake manifold, then get the proper fuel pump, diverter, lines and injectors. If you were wanting to use the Millenium 520 cylinders then you motor will have to come apart to have the case bored out and you will ned new pistons then. I hope any of this helps at all.

Dude, Have you priced New Millenium cylinders? Spring for the new pistons & rings too. What's an extra $1500 or so when your going to have $10,000 or more already in cylinders, valves, springs, and gaskets etc. You sould consider the 520 cylinders if your wanting more horsepower.

When you got money anything worth doing is worth overdoing.
 
WOW!! Yeah i will most likely not be converting to Millennium Cylinders! Maybe the Valve-cover will say Millennium on my new 520's :D ... I've decided to put 0-520's on it, maybe fuel-injection! but not sure about that! But im needing to sell my hull and metal work! if anyone is intrested let me know! Add Posted in classifieds! ive got a set of complete 520 cyldiners. theyre loaded with pistons rings valves and rockers. have the intake system and balance tubes with a ma 4-5 carb. i was gonna put them on my 220, but i got a steal of a deal on supercharged 480. so i dont need them anymore. let me know if your interested.
