converting an 0-320 to an 0-360??

my friend was saying the 0-320 and 0-360 blocks are identical just the jugs are different. Is this correct? I am thinking about running my 0-320 for this season then having it gone through cause I think a seal is leaking somewhere. Noticed some oil had leaked down in the bottom of my new hull during construction. I'd love to make it an angled valve 0-360 if the cost isn't ridiculous. Is it just a matter of putting 0-540 jugs on with new pistons? if so what does something like this normally run?
 
You can use the 0-320 case but you have to machine the case so the additional stroke of the 360 crank does not bottom out on the opposite case side. the only thing you could use would be your case. For a 200 you would need a crank,rods,cylinders 10207 pistons,push rods,push rod housings,rocker arms and washers,rocker shafts and plates,headers,valve covers, oil sump if you have the small tubes,carb, drill your flywheel for 1/2" bolts,plus all the gaskets and bearings. Best and cheapest way would be to sell your 320 and put the money towards the 0-360

0320Wide deck case will take the 360 crank...But your right lots more work to that job :D
 
Thx for the info guys, I knew it seemed to easy. I guess if it were nothing but changing jugs and pistons everyone would be running around with a 360.
