Need some advise here. My son, The Marine, has bought an IO 520. He owns a used Diamondback 13' x 7'6" that currently has a Cont. 0-470 E-225 on it. One of his best friends is going stainless on his Diamondback and will have a surplus DynaFocal 0-540 hunting style metalworks available. Looks like it is either a Russel Jacobs or a Richard Combee.
Is the conversion as simple as cutting out the Lycoming DynaFocal engine stand and adding back the Continental 0-520 engine stand?
