Anyone know of anybody that builds or sells nice aluminum or stainless coolers? One to fit in your boat say 48 or 52 qt. Thanks.

MY BUDDY BUILDS THEM BUT FOR WHAT THEY COST ID USE A WALMART ONE
HIS STARTS @ 300.00

I'm not sure of the size but coleman makes a stainless one. Bought mine frome cabelas on sale for 119.00 It holds ice real well.

The stainless Colemans are nice but the two I bought for my dad the latches dont always work wright but they do see alot of salt water and the latches are not all stainless. With that being said I would still buy them again. They are nice coolers.

my coleman holds ice for 3 full days in the summer.. worked my all week on job sights an put in on the boat on the weekends , lasted about 2 years b4 the latches broke but i still use it..

long as you dont let the lid open to far it should last for ever

The coleman coolers last a long time. When my grandfather past some years ago. One of the few things I wanted to remember him by was 2 coleman steel coolers. He and I always had a great time in the outdoors, mostly the cedar key area. We sure put alot of fish in those coolers and the ice always last several days. I am 47 and he bought them a years or so after I was born. Wish he still around today to enjoy filling them with redfish and trout. I think he got his moneys worth. The bigger one the metal is starting to delaminate after 45 years.

I also think he'd love airboating.

sounds like a good cooler..an a dam good guy..

I have a green coleman cooler ( a really big one) and it was only $52 at Walmart. Took it to the Keys last Wednesday night and on Sunday, it still had some ice in it. Great coolers.

The SS Colemans aint built like they used to be. I wouldnt buy one of the new ones.

If your going to buy a nice cooler that will last. Look at either Yeti or Frigid Rigid. The Yetis even come in camo....and they are bear proof. Just Sayin'.. :D

A little of topic, but my Grandpa has a cooler that he got off a shrimp boat when I was a kid. It's made out of fiberglass, styrofoam core, and has some kind coating on it. We would go over to the icehouse(before they closed it) and fill it up and it would keep ice for about a week. The really kicker was the size of the cooler. about 4'x6'x4'. It's big enough that I could still fit inside it and I'm 6'2'' 300! We had 10 deer in it after a good week up at the club in SC once and it still had room. I've got a lot of memories with that huge cooler. Just can't afford to fill it up with the crazy cost of ice these days.

Justin, I got an Oak Hill styrofoam cooler for that pretty new boat of yours. If you want I will bring it the next time we ride!!! :) I got some chrome spray paint and I can paint it to look just like one of them fancy Coleman coolers. Bling! Bling!

Guys those Yetti coolers are the best I have ever seen, it is not even fair to compair them to other coolers. Are they worth the price, well that depends on how much you use a cooler and how long you need you stuff cool. I know you can shoot a deer on Friday, pack it on ice and it will still be in ice come Sunday when you get home.

Thanks for all the replies and Mark bring that Oak Hill Special, always use another cooler. I've got one of those ss Colemen coolers, I've had it about 5 years, it is just pretty rough, I did not have very good luck with the latch holding up, and thought if I was going to spend over a $100 on a new one I would see if there were any other types out there, or if someone was building them. Thanks.

Yeti all the way, tough, last forever and hold ice as long. Got a 150qt, 90qt, and new CCA 65qt. I can use the coolers as step or seat and can pound on them and the hinges are for life..

If you are serious about hunting or fishing they are the olny cooler to have if you ask me. They will last forever, take any abuse you can throw at them, I just wish they would put wheels on one end.

I am going to Modify my Yeti, I am going to put a SS axle and rubber wheel barrel tires on one end.
