Custom carburetor

Tired of fighting my current set up. Has anyone had a custom carburetor built for an airboat. If so by who. I have a couple ppl in mind just wanna get some opinions. I can get an off the shelf 750 quick fuel for 1100. Or a custom one built in the 1000-1350 range.
 
Even off the shelf will have some tuning issues. A purpose built carb for about the same money sounds like a smart move. Do they tune it after installation?

They built mine and it was spot on. We tried a few change's when it was on the dyno and eventually got back to the same jets that the put in it to make max HP and Tq. If you call them you will need to know everything about your heads, cam, stroke bore and what RPM's your shooting for. When I called they seemed very knowledgeable about airboat carb needs. My Engine starts as if its fuel injection unless it has sat for a couple days then I have to pat the gas once or twice but it has never stumbled on the trails or bouncing around on the dry ground. They aren’t local but said if I have issues they would walk me thought it since I have all the tools to set them
Vacuum gauges and live afr reading
 
My buddy got one from Baldwin and having some customer service issues he’s yet to be able to try it and he’s been having it over two weeks. Due to some issues with it.

I’ve seen noting but good reviews on pro systems I’ll be sure to give a review when I get in and put on
 
I did not. I hope I dint mess up. But pro systems. Was the same or close to same prices as others but had much quicker turn around. I paid $900 for a carb a couple of the other places were 1200-1400. But I think they use the ultra xp bodies where the one I got goes off the Hp bodies lil bit older style but was the best thing until the ultra xp came
Out. We shall see my buddy paid 1400 and I paid 900 so we gonna see if the extra 500 was worth it
 
I don't think you messed up I would have just went with DaVinci and none of them give them away for sure let us know how it works good luck 👍
 
The guy at pro systems was honest he said he could sell me a 1500 carb but in my application it’s not needed. Was his words exact. From what I can tell they have different stages/ tiers. I went with the second one it’s about $100 more than thier base model. I think better metering blocks is the main step up and maby different boosters.
