cutting holes in solid grass rake

yea i thought about that i just thought id try the holes before cutting a whole section out of the rake i think the holes look pretty sharp but i want perfromance not looks whats your thought on that

yea its gotten scary a couple of times not funny at all probaly wouldnt be a bad ride if i had a chute

if you like to race take it off and get a brake, the brake can save em if your fast on the petal or right the boat when your gettin out of shape

picked a buddy up face down one afternoon after he took flight. His eye looked like it went 10rds with Joe Lewis. His ribs did not feel so good as well. He comes on here once and a while..

well its not my priamry concern but when i get in a head wind it seems to get squirly and evry once in a while i like to open er up

Seen a lot of guys use about a 3"-4' hole saw and make a nice pattern of holes in the rake. It is a cheap and easy alternative to changing the rake or redesigning it with expanded aluminum. It will act a little bit like a cheese grater and let some grass through. Just don't drill the bottom foot or foot and a half of the rake, the part that hits the short grass on the trail.. Keep the holes a little higher on the rake. If you think you need it and it will make you more comfortable than go for it..

my first rake was drilled until I flew it, no fault of the rake just got stupid. My new rake is expanded as the picture shows, I do not notice a difference between the two. From experience with the same boat you would want to do one or the other, or fly.....
