Dates for the West Gate Branch?

Does anybody know the dates for when the big event is being held in West Gate again. I was not able to make it last year and would like to plan to attend this year?

I think I spelled that wrong, It is the big get to gether at the ranch.

Tim,

You are talking about the "Airboating For Answers" gathering to benefit Juvenile Diabeties at Westgate River Ranch Resort on the Kissimmee River, about 20 miles east of Lake Wales in Central Florida.

This was the second year. The '05 dates were April 30 & May 01. This has tremendous potential to become a national airboaters festival.

Patty Corey of Powershift Production airboattrader.com has been the key volunteer for the past two years getting this event off the ground. It is a terrific weekend at a terrific place.

Yes, what seems so nice about that event and where it is located is that. It is not sponsored by a Manufacture so its not like your there because you own that Manufactures boat and showing it off. Your there because you want to help a cause and be around fellow airboaters.

I am hoping a few of us from Ne. could make it in 06 we just need to find out the dates to get in the books

Tim,

I wish it were sponsored by a dozen airboat manufacturers. That would mean we could have a budget to work with and promote this event.

There is a clear need for airboat and airboat products manufacturers to step up and support this industry and this event. There are a precious few who do. That's why I run a Diamondback boat, Powershift prop and Jurnigan maintained 0-540. They ALWAYS step up. The list who do is brief.

Airboats and airboaters are under constant attack here in Florida, take a look at who gave what to support professional lobbyist efforts to gain equal rights for airboaters. Plenty talk, few act.
