There is a new movie coming out that looks like it is going to be real good,it stars Denzel Wasington and it has lot of airboats in it the Boats are Diamondbacks and ther is lots of action I talked to the Movie folks about it right after they were done filming it and it was done in Louisiana
I saw the previews on it at the theater this week end.

Denzel Washington is a good actor that has been in some very good movies. 'Crimson Tide' being one of them.

I think he has some of that "political attitude" that some actors get where they try to use their fame to promote their whacked out cause, but Denzel seems to not have it too bad. (he ain't got that "jane fonda syndrome")

From the preview I saw it looks real good there is some chase sceens and they are using the Airboats as asult boats to deploy SWAT Teams

He did something using his own money for our injured troops that no other movie star would do I'm sure. I looked it up on snoops and it was true it never made the paper and he never bragged about so he is a rare class act actor! When I find it I will post it.

Thunder, I have an old email that shows Denzel Washington visiting some of our guys in a VA hospital. It goes on to say that he regularly gives money to a fund to help the widows and children of Americans lost in the war in Iraq.

The man is a class act, no question about it.

So why aren't CBS, ABC, and NBC reporting that? :? .

I heard that too about the good with the troops and all, but I recall something about him going weird on some frivolous homless or environemntal cause. That's what I meant about that "political attitude" comment above.

I may be mistaken, he's not perfect. Cool, yes. Class act, yes. Talented, yes.

Because its not sensational for an actor to help someone and not make a big show of it.

Altruism doesn't interest people in this age.

I know that mood, its just that that name has no place in open public discussion especially when this is a family rated forum. It just comes to close to being overt obscenity, yay profanity.

The thing he did for the troops was he paid for a special hospital unit for the army out of his own pocket to help the wounded troops he was visiting a military base when the need for this was brought up and he wrote them a check right there on the spot it was a heck of nice thing to do in my book.and the movie does show Airboats in a positive maner and as a mater of fact the Director was so inpressed with an Airboat that he had Diamonback build him one for himself.

We rented this movie the other night. I had no idea it turned from crme drama into into sci-fi!
I won't give away the plot twist but as my wife and I are both Denzel, sci-fi, and airboat fans - this was a very interesting & fun movie.

The airboat scenes were short but good.
