Details on the ride for August 4th and 5th

Dakota

Well-known member
We can all be there by 10:00am. Meet at the boat ramp off 192. I will try and find a map from a ride we had before. There are 2 public boat ramps there and a grassy spot to drop your boat. The ramp with the boards is the club ramp. Another thing, the parking in front of the clubhouse is for club members, so I ask that you park on the side. When you get there you can see there is a ton of parking on the side of the road all the way down. We will try to be there about 9:00 ourselves. We are going to ride south and stop at a few spots.

For Sunday we can all meet at the Lake Washington boat ramp. There will also be a map here of that. We will be going north, which I understand there is a ton of water. There is dry loading and other ramps, there is also a ton of parking there as well. Sunday we can all meet at 10:00 as well unless someone has any objections to that. If you have any questions please pm me.

Dang, those google links are long. I don't know about everyone else, but it really messes up the
type when there is such a long link (or photo or whatever)

To everyone who wants to paste those gigantic links - check out http://www.tinyurl.com -
You just paste in your GIANT link and it creates an alias link that is tiny. It still works and no ads
come up because of it or anything. Check it out next time there is a long link.

This tiny url is a google map that has every ramp I know of from Felsmere in the south to Lone Cabbage in the north.
It COVERS the melbourne area.

Click a blue marker, then click on "TO HERE" and put in your home address. It'll give you a map
that includes how long it'll take you to drive there! Ya gotta love this modern technology.
What's more, you can drag the little route line to take different roads if you want it to.
Pretty cool.

This should help out with the driving directions, and show where that pesky Lake Washington
Ramp is.
Personally, I've never driven there by the road. Only been there by water.
Very nice place!

Let me know if anyone has any questions....
I can dig up some GPS numbers for this area if anyone needs it.
Just ask, I'm glad to help out. :)

matt.

Don't know ifin I can make it on Sat. but I'll meet up with everyone at the Oakhead on Sunday morning
( GOD WILLING & THE BOAT COOPERATES) Still trying to work out some bugs and set up issues.

SAFARI RICK

Not to this one Joe. Just too busy trying to buy a new house and get the old house ready to rent
out. The timing is really critical since buying the new place DEPENDS on getting both the old
places rented out. (house & backyard apartment)

We're trying to move into the new place for Aug 15th.

Y'all have fun and as always.... TAKE PICTURES!!!!!

:)

I've been wanting to see your boat for a while. I heard it looks and rides real nice. I'm gonna have to wait.
