DIAMONDBACK WARRANTY

I spoke to Bobby about my rigging, that I have a break in the weld in the lower rudder bar on a aluminum rigging. I ask how much he would charge me to fix this. He said "free" just drop it off and we'll replace the whole bar. Sure enough I dropped the boat off and picked it up today good as new. That what I call standing behind your product and workmanship. Thanks Bobby...

I have brought mine in several times for small cracks on cage and jacks. They always find time to fix it no matter how busy they are. They even built me a new jack and mounted my frog chute while i waited.Awesome customer service.

Last year when I whiped out the polymer on the bottem of my boat in New Orleans I called them up and asked Bobby how much it was going to cost me to fix it he told me don't worry about it just bring it to us so I did he had five me work on my boat for three days and fixed it better than new and all he charged me for was the materals and he gave me a break on that to, if I ever buy another Airboat some day it will be another Diamondback they have been very good to me.

Seriously ... I know that is a stretch for me... LOL I applaud the way they stand by their boats for warranty work I have not heard of any one else going as far as they do at times. Everyone over time develops a desire for how they want their boat to handle. I like a slider, free running hull. I beleive for liability reasons many manufacturers have gotten away from them. Diamondbacks typically run heavy on the nose which I don't like but others love.

But for warranty & service you gotta give them an A+

Diamondback makes a slider hull it's in there brochure. They also make a palmbeach hull too that what I have.

I should apologize to Rick and all viewers for me typing that. I just had a bad experience with them.

DB makes a nice looking airboat.

I have a 2006 18 by 8 DB and have been thrilled with the performance of my barge, There factory accessories seem a little high. Thier attention to detail and how they finish out the boats is first class. Calm Seas..Capt. Scott in Texas

Sheer number of boats Diamondback puts out says alot for their operation. 250-300 boats/yr. going worldwide isn't possible with junk going out the door.

When I set out to have a boat built, Diamondback was really the only one who listened to what I had in mind. I'm not saying the others wouldn't if pressed, but Diamondback was great to work with.

Well I am sorry to say that I spoke to Bobby about a matter concerning my polymer on boat that was put on by Diamondback when they built the boat. There is about a quarter inch gap between splice in the polymer. He said at first he would take care of it no problem. Then I get a call from Diamondback saying I need to sign a quote for the work and that it would be $220.00 for fixing the polymer. So I went to Diamondback caught up with Bobby and ask him "aren't you going to stand behind your workmanship?" He said that boat is 7 years old I said no it is 3yr old and it has been sitting for most of the time unused and has only 13 hr on it since it has been built and Bobby knows this! He said that he would warranty the job. I said then go ahead and build me a double storage box and put carpet on my fender wells for $530.00. I thought everything was OK then. Wrong.... Bobby calls me back about an hour later tells me he not going to warranty the job and if I wanted it fix it will be $220.00. I'll be darn if I am going to pay somebody to fix their mistake. I have pictures posted in my gallery.

You can see that they didn't line it up here.[/img]

Well, I bought the boat just 6 month ago. The boat has been sitting for the entire time. The whole boat has only 13 hr. As you can see in the first photo it was not lined up flush with other piece of polymer. There was some black stuff in between the gap that why I didn't notice it when I first bought it.

You right. It didn't shrink, it just wasn't lined up. Did they give you a reason why they would not cover it. It it definitely not a material issue but a craftsmanship issue that was covered up with some sort of epoxy filler to hide the gap. The picture shows one of the sheets came up short and they used it anyway.

Maybe at least a 50/50 is in order. Something anyway.

could it be that they didnt build it for you and the warranty is not transferable? just a thought, I know not much of one either.
